Capturing the Fine Art Nude with Lindsay Adler UUU270
OVERVIEW
Sponsored by Sigma, join Lindsay Adler in capturing the human form in this intense lecture, demonstration and workshop where you will be able to photograph nude models.
Artists have studied and captured the nude human form for thousands of years. Photographing nudes can be a truly artistic and liberating experience focusing on concept, light and form. You can shoot abstracts, powerful compositions, and the stunning contours of the human body.
Still, successful nude photography takes a great deal of thought and preparation. You must consider everything from location, to lighting, to props, to posing in order to execute a striking nude image.
This class includes 1 hour of lecture on all the considerations and preparation a photographer must take during a nude shoot. This lecture will cover: inspiration, finding and selecting models, working with models, equipment, posing, lighting, basic retouching, and more! Next, you can watch a demonstration of these key topics on a model and see how light and posing can effect the image. You will learn tips for interacting with the model, getting ideas for poses, and fool-proof lighting techniques.
Finally, the last 2 hours of the class will provide students time to photograph models in a variety of poses and lighting situations in order to build their experience, confidence and portfolio for nude photography. Some scenerious will also be on location or outside where Lindsay will show you how to use natural lighting to capture perfect images.

very interesting experience. ms. adler has the practical knowledge of the subject and the ability to impart useful information into her presentation. her expertise is far greater than her age would suggest. she has a very easy manner and handled the couple of snafu's with grace and ease.
the set ups were good and the models were both beautiful and most willing to work with the students to make the experience a good one.
the only negative was the limitation on remotes. since only two could be used, it did limit the time the photographers had "control" of a shoot. most of the students shot with available light when it was not their "turn".
i felt i learned useful techniques that transend the "human form". (Posted on 10/2/10)
